We are not subscribed to any national ‘official’ accreditation schemes, and prefer to focus on our local, natural and small-scale approach that has stood our family farm in good stead over many generations.
Our approach to providing customers with the very best meat is to source products from our own high quality, high welfare, small-scale operation at Cannon Hall Farm in South Yorkshire, and to work with trusted farming partners who share our approach and values when supply from our farm alone can’t meet customer demand. Even with our farming partners, our approach is as local as you can get, with our biggest partner being our neighbouring farm, with their cattle being reared just over the fence in the next field.
In reality, we approach farming organically but without the ‘official’ accreditation. We are a multi-generational farming family and we use traditional and non-intensive methods to rear livestock on our small-scale family farm, including a traditional approach to feeding and finishing.
As our meat is sourced directly from our Yorkshire farm, or from our trusted farmer partners, we are able to offer meat with food miles in the single digits – some of the very lowest you can find anywhere in the world.
Buying locally, and direct from farmers, not only supports the local economy and protects traditional small-scale farming for generations to come, it is also an environmentally conscious way to shop.
Our livestock graze on the clover rich, green pastures of our family farm in Yorkshire and the quality of our farming methods show in the depth and richness of flavour in the meat we produce.
