Description

Cannon Hall Farm in Barnsley, South Yorkshire, is one of the few remaining family-run farms in the country.

It is an award-winning visitor attraction that has a commitment to high quality farm stock and preserving the continuation of some of the world’s most rare breeds.

It currently has two programmes that aim to increase the numbers of two highly at risk animals – Shire horses (of which there are fewer than 500 left in the UK) and the Swiss Valais sheep breed, made famous by Shaun the Sheep.

Our new adoption programme means you’ll be able to help keep our animals safe and well in this unprecedented time. Your sponsorship will contribute to the welfare of all our amazing animals on site.

Animal adoption is the unique gift that keeps on giving, a great birthday present for adults and children alike.

Every year we spend more than £400,000 on feeding our animals on our 190-acre farm. Bedding costs another £40,000, heating more than £25,000.

Adopting an animal can make a real difference. It ensures we can keep going.

Whoever you choose, remember: by adopting one animal at Cannon Hall Farm, you’re helping them all.

We introduced category adoptions rather than individual animals to make sure this could happen.

We do several adoption options:

Digital Only

  • We had lots of requests from our overseas customers who wanted to adopt an animal – so we’ve listened and added a digital only category.
  • Your adoption will last for one year and you will get quarterly email updates about your animals.
  • This is a digital only package – no certificates, photographs, farm tickets or printed media will be sent.
  • Your digital certificate will be delivered via email after purchase. These are sent manually by a member of our team.
